Represented by Lisa Bloom, Mischa won her case, with Zacharias banned from distributing the content and being slapped with a restraining order. I was a lot of things. It was a mixture of emotions. But at the end of the day, I was raised much stronger than that.
Knox, then a year-old college student, steadfastly maintained her innocence. Eventually the truth won out : After Knox spent four years in an Italian prison, an appeals court overturned her initial murder conviction. But while she says the misogyny and hate her case triggered has abated, somewhat, it continues to plague other women who find themselves at the center of controversy.
